life Groups

Fall Lifegroups are open! Find the description and links below for our lifegroups this fall!
We learn in rows but we grow in circles! We weren't meant to do life alone.

Life is better connected

At Christ Chapel, we think Lifegroups are the best way to grow in community with those around you. We value Godly relationships, and this is a great place to start!

Finding God’s Life for My Will

What if finding God’s will isn’t about discovering the perfect plan, but about drawing closer to God Himself? Join us for an 8-week Bible study based on Mike Donehey’s Finding God’s Life for My Will: His Presence Is the Plan. Together, we’ll learn to let go of striving, trust God in uncertainty, say “yes” to Him in everyday life, and discover the freedom of knowing that His presence really is the plan. Come with your questions, your uncertainties, and an open heart—we’ll grow together!

Kingdom Keys: Unlocking the Life God Intended

What if the abundant life Jesus promised is closer than you think? Join us for Kingdom Keys, an exciting small group that will help you discover the biblical principles that unlock a deeper walk with God. Through practical teaching and real-life application, you'll learn how faith, prayer, obedience, forgiveness, humility, praise, and God's Word can transform every area of your life. Whether you're new to the faith or have followed Christ for years, this study will equip you to move beyond simply believing in the Kingdom to living it every day. Come discover the keys. Unlock the life. Live the Kingdom. "The life you've been praying for begins with the keys Jesus has already given you."

Baywood Life group

"Ears to hear - Eyes to see" A discipleship Bible study on following Jesus.

Praying With Purpose

Each Monday we will meet at 6:30 pm in the Sanctuary for a devotion followed by prayer time. During this time we will pray over the church and prayer requests from the congregation.

Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World Book Study

The life of a woman today isn’t all that different from the lives of Mary and Martha in the New Testament. Like Mary, you long to sit at the Lord’s feet…but the daily demands of a busy world just won’t leave you alone. Like Martha, you love Jesus and really want to serve him…yet you struggle with weariness, resentment, and feelings of inadequacy. Through this book study, Joanna Weaver shows how all of us, Marys and Marthas alike, can draw closer to our Lord: deepening our devotion, strengthening our service, and doing both with less stress and greater joy.

Growing Through Grief

We all experience grief whether it’s the loss of a loved one, the loss of a relationship or another deeply felt loss. This will be time to gather and share support for one another, helping one another grow in our relationship with God as we process our loss.

Queens of Chaos

Women and Girls Life Group

Join us as we explore the beautiful and poetic book of Song of Songs, discovering God’s design for love, marriage, intimacy, and faithful relationships. Together, we’ll examine how this timeless book celebrates covenant love while pointing us to the deeper love Christ has for His people. Whether you’re single, engaged, married, or simply seeking to grow in your understanding of biblical love, this study offers practical wisdom, meaningful discussion, and spiritual encouragement. Through Scripture, honest conversation, and prayer, we’ll learn how to cultivate healthy relationships, deepen our walk with God, and reflect His love in our daily lives.
Come ready to connect, grow in faith, and experience the richness of God’s Word in a welcoming and
supportive community.

Perfectly Flawed Women’s Bible Study

Perfectly Flawed, by Lisa Toney, is a six week Bible study on the life of Peter. In this study we will see that there is an unparalleled power Jesus gives that can only be found in our weakness. We will discover the strength of Jesus that is available to each of us. Learn to persevere in our faith, live confidently, and boldly step into God’s purpose for our life. See how Peter’s story is an invitation to embrace imperfection, find strength in the relentless grace of God, and discover how each one of us is perfectly flawed but still deeply loved by God. The participant workbook includes five daily readings for each week, combining the study of Scripture with personal reflection, application, and prayer. Each week we will view a short video provided by Lisa Toney.

Chapel 18:28 - Young Adults

Teens ages 13-18 can meet to play games, have snacks, and most importantly have real conversations about their faith with other people their age.

Empty Nesters

If you’re an empty nester—whether you’re single or married—and are looking to build meaningful friendships while deepening your walk with Christ, we’d love for you to join us! Together, we’ll journey through a 10-week study of the book of Ephesians using Belief That Behaves Study Guide by David Jeremiah. Along the way, we’ll enjoy dinners, outings, and fun adventures as we encourage one another, grow in God’s Word, and build lasting relationships during this
 season of life.

Money Mysteries from the Master

In this 10 week study we will be learning about Time honored Financial Truths from Jesus himself. We will take a deep dive into learning Kingdom principles and how we can be set free from Satan's Financial traps!

Mental Health Support Group

This is a safe place to discuss any issues regarding mental health. A supportive and, judgement free zone where you are free to talk about anything that’s bothering you. Mental health is something you shouldn’t go through alone, and this group will be a listening ear.

Basic Spanish

Have you ever wanted to order tacos with confidence, understand what your neighbors are saying, or finally know what your favorite Spanish song is actually about? Join us for a fun, relaxed Basic Spanish Life Group! We’ll learn everyday words and phrases, practice simple conversations, and laugh our way through the occasional tongue twister. No experience is needed - just bring your curiosity and a willingness to try. Whether you want to connect with Spanish-speaking friends, prepare for travel, serve others in our community, or just impress your family by rolling your R’s, this class is for you. Come learn, build friendships, and discover that learning a new language can be both practical and a lot of fun!

Crafts for Christ

This group is for women who would like to gather to create crafts for the preschool program or themselves! I have lots crafts in mind, including bible chains, tassels, “Give it to God” jars, etc. The goal is to build purposeful relationships by positioning ourselves in the correct environment.

Paws for jesus

If you’re an animal lover with a desire to help animals in need in our community, this is the life group for you! In this fall season, we will build friendships centered around serving animals that Jesus has given us the privilege to care for. Together, we will volunteer at the Galax, Carroll, Grayson Animal Shelter. Unique to the fall life group, we will also plan, prepare for, and host Barktober Fest, which will be held on October 17th! This is a fall themed fundraising celebration where we invite pups to put on their favorite costumes and bring their humans out for food, fun and games. Our group will meet primarily on Saturdays, typically in the morning, weather pending. Life happens, so we don’t expect everyone to make it to every gathering. Come when you can. The only event that requires attendance for new shelter volunteers is completion of the animal shelter’s volunteer orientation. Whether you want to spend time with the animals, help host Barktober Fest, or do it all, we hope that you will consider
 joining our group!

Holy Hounds

Connect with fellow dog lovers and get some fresh air! Join us for a relaxed walk where our four-legged friends can socialize, and we can catch up, share a quick encouragement, and build community together. All fitness levels and friendly dogs (on leashes) are welcome!

Kayaking/fishing for christ

Explore a few local waterways to fish/float with a devotional before and reflection after. All skill levels welcome. Those who participate would need a kayak, paddle, LIFE VEST, fishing pole, tackle, & fishing license. (The leader does have 4 kayaks to lend out to participants who may need one. They are first come, first serve)

Right on Target

Our group is for (Adults over 18) gun enthusiasts of all levels of experience. If you are new to gun ownership and would like to learn how to use it safely and maintain it correctly, we can help. If you are experienced and would like to improve your skills and maybe even have a little competition we can help with that too.
We do have a good time.
